“Speak Up- Take a ‘Chance’ has allowed me to express myself in an artistic manner and for once I felt like I had a voice and it mattered. I felt like I was a part of something great, positive and important”

Synopsis

This summer, the Chance Theater, Anaheim's only professional, non-profit theater will once again be offering a summer theater intensive for Orange County students.

Speak Up will give students the opportunity to explore theater as a way to speak their minds and let their voices be heard. Through team-building exercises, theater games, and improvisation, students from throughout Orange County will come together and create their own original piece of theater and speak up!

The program is open to all students regardless of experience. We are looking for those who are interested in all aspects of theater. Speak Up is not geared only toward acting, as students will write, direct, design, and tech their collaborative piece.

For more information, or to sponsor a student for this program, call Tanae Beyer, Education Director, at (714) 777-3033 or e-mail her at tanae@chancetheater.com.
